Creative Sales Strategy
Faced with the challenge of establishing a partnership with a major insurance company (Farmers Insurance) that didn’t work directly with salespeople, I had to think outside the box. The company required all sales to go through their agency, but they were undergoing an agency review that could take weeks or months. Instead of waiting, I identified and introduced myself to the director of the production department. Using relationship-building skills, I connected with him over our shared university background during a lunch meeting, where he provided valuable insights into the company’s internal situation.
Thanks to this connection, he introduced me to the marketing team before they selected a new agency. Armed with the information from the production director, I tailored my pitch to demonstrate how my company’s marketing solutions could address their specific needs. This resulted in a test campaign and eventually led to a $1 million sale, the largest in my company’s history.

Sales Success Story
As a sales consultant for a start-up adtech platform, I identified Adore Me, a lingerie brand specializing in extended sizes, as a potential client. Leveraging my network of previous contacts, I secured a referral to the marketing team. Through persistence, I arranged a meeting where I learned that the brand aimed to increase awareness among women and wanted a bold, creative approach to stand out. I proposed a digital out-of-home (DOOH) billboard campaign targeting high-traffic areas in New York and Los Angeles.
The campaign successfully generated a 15% increase in sales and created the buzz the brand was seeking. As a result, Adore Me renewed their six-figure contract with my start-up consulting client, ensuring continued partnership and growth.

Streamlining CRM Processes to Boost Sales
While working with a company undergoing a transition, I identified inefficiencies in how the sales team was using their CRM (Salesforce). Prospects were being assigned to sales reps without a clear strategy to ensure follow-up or engagement. I collaborated with the sales team to design a more structured approach that included a 90-day progress window, supported by specific outreach metrics. If no progress was made, the account would be reassigned to another rep to maintain momentum.
I presented this plan to management and, after incorporating feedback from the sales team, gained their approval. This new system fostered better accountability and collaboration, ultimately leading to a 35% increase in sales in the following quarter.
